1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Stirwise ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Stirwise.
These Terms apply to all users of Stirwise, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.
2. Description of Service
Stirwise is a personal health and nutrition companion that uses artificial intelligence to provide personalised meal plans, recipe recommendations, nutrition tracking, and wellness insights.
The Service is intended for general wellness purposes only. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.
3. Account Registration
To use Stirwise, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Stirwise. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Stirwise offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or other payment platforms we support.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial refunds.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will notify you in advance of any price changes.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Stirwise to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent
- Transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Stirwise — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, AI-generated meal plans, and software — are the exclusive property of Stirwise and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your personal data and content you input into Stirwise remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. AI-Generated Content
Stirwise uses artificial intelligence to generate meal plans, recipes, and nutritional recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content:
- May not always be suitable for your specific health conditions or dietary requirements
- Is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice
- May occasionally contain errors or inconsistencies
You are responsible for verifying that any AI-generated content is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
No medical advice: Stirwise is a wellness tool, not a medical service. Nothing on Stirwise constitutes medical advice. Always consult a doctor or registered dietitian for medical concerns.
As-is service: Stirwise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stirwise and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use Stirwise ceases immediately. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of Stirwise after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of them.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Stirwise shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
